From General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), safeguarding the confidential information of an organization’s clientele has recently emerged to the corporate forefront as a result of international, federal, and state laws enacted to regulate the collection, retention, use, disclosure, and disposal or personal information.  

Though most data privacy and cybersecurity threats are thought to originate externally, it is more often the case, the critical threats initiate internally.
